WORLD HIGHEST RECORDED WIND SPEED(301mph,484kmh): HURRICANE BRIDGE CREEK 


             On 3 May 1999  Hurricane Bridge Creek started in which world highest wind speed was recorded and destroyed thousands of houses.
 
                      The 1999 Hurricane Bridge Creek (more locally referred as Hurricane May 3) was a powerful F5 hurricane in which the world's highest ever measured wind speeds were recorded at a rate of 301 ± 20 mph (484 ± 32 km / h) Doppler radar on wheels (DOW).


                                 The hurricane was the most powerful hurricane ever recorded to have affected the metropolitan area, as the hurricane destroyed most parts of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, along with the surrounding  towns early Monday evening, May 3, 1999. The hurricane only remained for 85 minutes and covered a distance of 38 miles, and destroyed thousands  of houses and killed 36 people (plus indirectly five additional). It is the 5th expensive hurricane and made a damage of 1 billion dollars.


                         In this Hurricane,the world's highest ever wind speed was recorded that was 301 mph or 484 kmh.
